Safe Haven provides emotional & practical help to individuals experiencing mental health crises. We give you the option to talk to one of our staff about how you are feeling, & will help you to access the right support within calm, safe & confidential surroundings. You can come in person to the Safe Haven or access it virtually

Safe Haven is open 7 evenings a week, 365 days a year: Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays) 6pm to 10pm (For ages 18 & over)

  • A free, confidential, anonymous and safe way to receive support online
  • Out of hours’ availability - counsellors are available from 12pm to 10pm on weekdays & 6pm to 10pm at weekends, every day of the year on a drop in basis
  • Online counselling from a professional team of BACP qualified counsellors is available via 1-1 chat sessions or messaging on a drop in basis or via booked sessions
  • Discussion boards which are all pre-moderated allow young people to access peer to peer support

Learning Disability & Autism Support

Speak up 4 my health: This project runs from April 2022 – September 2022 for adults and April 2022 – March 2023 for children and young people up to the age of 25.

We will be supporting people with a learning disability or autism to:

  • Identify areas for improvement in your physical & mental health
  • Develop a personal plan to help you achieve your goals
  • Find the right groups or activities (online & in person) & match you with a ‘peer buddy’ if required
  • Learn the digital or social media skills you need

We will be working with people individually or in group sessions

A private (paid for) service for over-18-year-olds for a full initial video assessment with a Psychologist, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist or a psychological well-being practitioner

Community Connect Service
