If you think you have got measles please call ahead.
Self-care of hayfever symptoms
Hayfever season is upon us. Please see this information about how to treat your symptoms
Due to patient safety issues we will no longer be able to accept prescription requests over the phone from 1 January 2018. This includes the dispensary answerphone service at both surgeries.
We shall only accept requests for prescriptions using these methods:
Online ordering service – please ask a member of staff to arrange this for you. (If you do not have access to a computer but have a relative or carer who does, you can give them permission to order your repeat prescriptions online)
Written requests – Computer-printed prescriptions have a re-order form attached for your information and convenience. Please complete this and return to the surgery. If you need to post this to us please allow an extra week to cover any possible postal delays. You may also fax requests to us on 0118 98 11432.
Changes to appointment system
All requests for appointments with a doctor on the day for urgent clinical matters will be handled by one of two Duty Doctors who will be working from either surgery
When you contact the surgery your details will be given to one of the Duty Doctors who will return your call. You will be assessed and, if necessary, will be offered an appointment that day with one of the Duty Doctors – this might be at either surgery. It might also be appropriate for the Duty Doctor to deal with your problem over the telephone. The Duty Doctor may also feel that you may benefit from assessment the following day or later in the week with your own GP.
Do we have your current contact details?
Help us keep in touch...do we have your current email and postal addresses, mobile and landline telephone numbers? Update at your surgery or via link at bottom of home page
We can use your email address to send you reminders when your review appointments are due, newsletters and information about the Practice.
Text message reminders about forthcoming appointments can be sent to your personal mobile phone and you will also be able to cancel appointments by text
Please read this statement regarding futher use of your contact details How we use your mobile telephone number and/or email address
We are extremely grateful to the majority of our patients who advise us when they are unable to attend. It is very important that appointments are cancelled when no longer needed. Why not sign up for text reminders? You can also use this service to cancel an appointment via text message. The number of patients failing to attend appointments has reduced as a result of more patients signing up for this service. Thank you.
