There will be no Baby Clinic on Tuesday 15th October

Temporary reduction in Nurse’s appointments

Due to staff shortages we regret we shall be reducing the number of appointments available with our Practice Nurses at both Morland Surgery and Holmwood Health Centre. This will affect our Travel Clinics especially and you may be directed to a travel health clinic elsewhere.

Boots and Superdrug offer this service in their larger stores and other providers are available.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to resume our normal service as soon as possible.

Urgent Appointments:

All requests for appointments with a doctor on the day for urgent clinical matters will be handled by one of two Duty Doctors who will be working from either surgery

When you contact the surgery your details will be given to one of the Duty Doctors who will return your call. You will be assessed and, if necessary, will be offered an appointment that day with one of the Duty Doctors – this might be at either surgery. It might also be appropriate for the Duty Doctor to deal with your problem over the telephone.  The Duty Doctor may also feel that you may benefit from assessment the following day or later in the week with your own GP.

Missed Appointments

We are extremely grateful to the majority of our patients who advise us when they are unable to attend.  It is very important that appointments are cancelled when no longer needed.  Why not sign up for text reminders? You can also use this service to cancel an appointment via text message. The number of patients failing to attend appointments has reduced as a result of more patients signing up for this service.  Thank you.
